They feel very soft & comfortable even though not leather. They are a gentle white rather than a bright white, which I like. Normally take size 4 1/2 but purchased size 5 as no half sizes available & they fit well, perhaps a bit too long but not enough to return them. Haven't done much walking in them yet so cannot comment on how they perform long term.
