The colour was very dark and almost brown. Unless they sent the wrong colour, it did not look anything like the colour in the picture. It gave good control and didnt show any seams under clothing. The band was a bit too tight around the bottom of my ribs, so I'd recommend going for the higher size. I am a size 10-12 and had to pick between 8-10 or 12-14. Overall I feel it was a good item of shapewear if you can get the right size.
